Press Release: K-Swiss x Breaking Bad

Heritage footwear brand K-Swiss announces a new partnership with Breaking Bad for a limited edition footwear collection.

K-Swiss is proud to team up with AMC’s hit television series to create a curated pack of the Classic 2000s with new designs inspired by the show. This trio of sneakers blends the proven performance of this classic, court-inspired low top with the colorfully explosive motifs and characters of Breaking Bad. Each colorway of K-Swiss x Breaking Bad Classic 2000 has a unique theme taken from the show including, “Cooking,” “Cleaning,” and “Recreational Vehicle,” all holding a different meaning based on the characters and action of the narrative.

For “Cooking” and “Cleaning” the Classic 2000 gets upgraded with zip-up rubber uppers nodding to the bright suits worn by Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in the show. The uppers are placed over an entirely assembled shoe, delivering added protection atop the proven comfort and performance of the K-Swiss Classic 2000. Iced outsoles reveal “Heisenberg” printed within the sole construction nodding to the nefarious substance which Breaking Bad’s characters cooked up and sold with great success. Plastic pull tabs allow for easy access to the shoe while also alluding to the gas masks also worn during the cooking process in Breaking Bad.

This collection also sees the return of the Classic 2000 “Recreational Vehicle,” which sold out immediately upon its initial release in October 2019. The recognizable and evocative striped color scheme of the infamous RV wraps around the fully exposed upper of the Classic 2000 and is finished off with a unique lining referencing the vintage interior of the RV.

Each shoe arrives in a specially designed Breaking Bad themed shoe box and wrapping paper truly making each colorway its own collector’s item for fans.

The K-Swiss x Breaking Bad collection releases fall 2020. These limited edition styles are offered in men’s and women’s sizes, and retail for $80.00-$90.00. For up-to-date releases and all the latest information follow along @kswiss on Instagram.
